Francesca BSL

About me

Francesca BSL is run by Francesca, a fully qualified teacher (PGCE) and passionate advocate for accessibility and inclusion. She is now qualified with BSL Level 6 and, began her PG Cert Interpreting training in September 2025 at the University of Wolverhampton. Alongside this, Francesca will also be working as a Communication Support Worker (CSW), using her skills to support Deaf students in education.

Francesca has loved teaching the Signature-accredited BSL Level 1 Award both online and in person in Derbyshire. She is incredibly proud of all her students who have achieved their Level 1 qualification and wishes them every success as they move on to Level 2 and beyond!

As she now focuses on her interpreter training and new role, Francesca will no longer be taking on new Level 1 students. However, from October 2025 she may occasionally have spaces available to support learners who are preparing for their Level 1, 2, or 3 BSL assessments. Anyone interested is welcome to get in touch to enquire about availability.

Likewise, any BSL users who would like private CSW support are also encouraged to get in touch to enquire about availability.

Francesca remains active in the local Deaf community, regularly attending BSL events and her local Deaf Club, and is committed to promoting Deaf culture and history as part of her teaching and professional practice.
